Wizarding Potions

This craft was done as a Christmas gift for a adult friend a few years ago. He is has always been a big Harry Potter fan, and I thought that a collection of potions from the stories would be a great gift. The project was relatively quick and easy.

Project steps:

  1. Visit the liquor store and buy an assortment of airplane size liquor bottles in different shapes.  The more variety and more intricate the bottles the cooler the finished product will be.
  2. Carefully remove the labels from the airplane bottles, apply a little bit of warm water to help losen the labels of required, but be careful not to tear them.
  3. Tape the labels to a piece of paper and scan them. These are the templates you will use to create your new labels.
  4. Using the computer create new labels the same shape and size as your template. Add background images and text with the names of the potions.
  5. Print and cut out your new labels for the liquor bottles
  6. Using Modge Podge apply the new labels to the bottles, allow to dry throughly
